TPA Scholarship
The filing period opens on Nov. 15, with all applications due in to the Association office in Denver postmarked no later than February 28, 2007.

The TelecomPioneers Scholarship Program is designed to help further the organization’s education focus and its efforts to build healthy communities through individual and family involvement in community service.

Applications are first screened in the Association office to ensure they contain all of the required information.  Qualified applications are then judged by Scholarship Management Services, an independent evaluation firm.

The program is open to high school seniors who are family members of Regular Members, Life Members, Associate Members and Honorary Members of TelecomPioneers.

A family member is defined in the broadest sense to include immediate and extended family, such as brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The student need not be a dependant of or live at the same address as their Pioneer relative.

Joe Cleres Memorial Scholarship

 FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Dear Student:

A scholarship established by the New Outlook Pioneers has been designated for students with disabilities.  Enclosed is an application form for the Joe Cleres Memorial Scholarship.

The New Outlook Pioneers’ Scholarship for Students with Disabilities was established to assist mentally or physically challenged students in pursuit of further education.  Physically or mentally challenged is defined in the ‘Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992’.  The applicant need not be related to a Pioneer.

All information on the application form should be completed accompanied by a one-page essay and one other page of supporting documentation relative to the student’s accomplishments.  The essay will be used by the judges to determine how the student met the challenge of his/her disability and, insofar as possible, contributed to the community. The type and severity of the disability will be considered.

The amount of each scholarship can be as much as $2,500 and will be awarded to 20 students nationally.  All awards are to be used solely for tuition.  Payment will be made directly to the school on behalf of the student.  It is the responsibility of the student to provide a copy of his bill from the institution and proof of enrollment.  Upon receipt a check will be sent to the school.

Applications must be mailed no later than March 30, 2007, to:
